We bought a piano about 5 years ago -- it was our first major purchase as a married couple. It's been so cool to have it around! It's a stress-reliever to me, it's brought in income for us, and it'll be what our kids take piano lessons on! :)
I've been on a bargain-shopping kick lately. So, I've been excited about some steal-of-a-deal purchases lately, including some classic books in excellent condition for only a quarter!
We haven't had to make any big purchases for our home. We have a house full of hand-me-downs, rummage/thrift store stuff and gifts. So if I had to think of a big purchase that we had to save up for it would be our minivan purchased 5 years ago while we were pregnant with our first baby. It's nothing fancy, but I was SO proud of how we handled ourselves and stood our ground on the price that we got it for $7,500 when they were asking $11,000. And it's been a GREAT van without any problems! Praise God!
Our truck is getting older, and so when we can afford it, I would really like to think seriously about getting a 4-door Jeep Wrangler!!
