Household Equipment
What are some tools/equipment you’ve found essential to peace in your household with kids?
This question sounds strange, but I think I’m looking for simple responses.
For me, the everyday appliances are incredible helpers – I don’t know how Moms survived without them for so long. The washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, and microwave are run several times a day.
In terms of resources, the internet has been a lifesaver when it comes to 4 yo’s curiosity. We’ve visited pages about animals and volcanoes. We’ve printed off coloring sheets. We’ve gone to San Diego Zoo’s website and watched live video feed of the animal exhibits there. I look forward to discovering other fun sites! Any suggestions?

Manners
How do you teach your kids manners?
I look forward to hearing your suggestions for this one!!
Please and Thank You and You’re Welcome we’ve been working on since the kids could talk. They don’t always say them, but for the most part, the kids have those phrases down.
But how about teaching them to respond politely to compliments? Or not interrupting while you’re on the phone or talking with someone? Or sharing? Or not talking only about themselves and monopolizing the time when they’re with adults or other kids?
Help?
